Nero DriveSpeed has been designed with two goals in mind: the first one is for CD, DVD, and Blu-Ray readers or writers which are wrongly configured, working at a lower speed than their capacity be fixed. The second is to slow down those devices so that they make less noise while working.

Nero DriveSpeed is very simple to use: you just need to select the proper speed, press the button and that is it. If the user wants to, this tool can be started at the same time the Windows session does, remembering any previous parameters set up for it. If you want to introduce some changes, the program appears minimized with its icon in the system notification area.
